Fulfilling a vision

As a rapidly growing city on the rise we welcome development across residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial and civic spaces. We have some ambitious housing targets set by the Victorian government for us to create 9,000 new homes in Frankston city centre and 33,000 throughout the whole Municipality, which we are keen to fulfil. Mixed-use development will bring additional vitality to our city centre and suburbs, meeting the growing demand of our evolving demographics.

 

Over $600 million worth of private sector developments approved and underway in 2025, has been complemented by record levels of public funding. This includes the $1.1 billion redevelopment of the Peninsula University Hospital, the $150 million redevelopment of Chisholm Institute of TAFE's Frankston campus, $100 million for two new commuter car parks, a $60 million budget for revitalisation works on the Nepean Highway, Frankston, and a new $49 million hub for the Victorian Government Department of Justice and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing in Frankston city centre.
