Christmas Parade

Christmas Parade - Expressions of Interest NOW OPEN!

The Christmas Parade will be held again this year, and we are inviting groups including primary/secondary schools, community groups, local roving bands, dance troupes, and sporting clubs to apply to participate in the parade!

Click on the link here to register your interest!

The parade will start at the corner of High and Young Street at 4:30pm, and travel towards Davey Street marking the start of the City's Christmas festivities.

Activities & Exhibitors

Fireworks & Tree Lighting
The most iconic moment of Frankston's Christmas Festival is the fireworks and tree lighting at the end of the night's entertainment at 8:45pm (earlier time this year). The display will launched from behind the Civic Centre and viewable from Beauty Park, Frankston Oval, Young Street and Davey Street and surrounding areas.

Beauty Park Market
Beauty Park will be transformed into the enchanting Little Beauty Christmas Market; the perfect place to find all your Christmas gifts. From beauty and wellbeing, to clothing, arts, homewares, jewellery and food and drinks this Christmas market is not-to-be-missed.

Awkward Portraits
Awkward Portraits is Melbourne's original and best provider of (intentionally) daggy portraiture. Taking normal good-looking people, they dress them in horrid outfits, place them in uncomfortable poses, and photograph them for years of enjoyment!  Costumes and props are provided, unless you want to come fully equipped in your own daggy Christmas attire.
Due to the demand for this free activity, this will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Roving Entertainment
The Itchy Feet Pep Band is Melbourne's professional level pep band, performing top 40s music in a brass band/upbeat format while on the march! Come and see them perform this Christmas!
