Frankston beach 

Frankston beach is one of the Bay’s most inviting foreshore precincts.

Renowned for its stunning beauty, Frankston waterfront and pier used to the go-to playground for wealthy Victorians way back in the late 1800's.

People have flocked here ever since, to promenade the boardwalk and pier, enjoy the local eateries, or simply relax in the shallow clear waters and soft sand. 

The beach stretches 2.5 kilometres from the southern boat launching area, taking in the historic 500 metre Frankston Pier, the mouth of Kananook Creek, and a wide stretch of clear, shallow water that’s safe for all swimmers.

The foreshore is well equipped with BBQs, picnic shelters, a playground, cafes and restaurants within easy reach. 

Accessible for all

Frankston beach is officially the most accessible in the country. In December 2025, it made national history as Australia’s most accessible beach. 

Extensive beach matting ran from the foreshore to the water, allowing wheelchair users to reach the shoreline with ease.  

Seaford Beach  

Further up, Seaford beach is the quieter, unhurried alterative, with shallow, calm waters framed by the colourful beach boxes that have become one of the region’s most photographed landmarks.

Keast Park in Seaford offers a stunning year-round leash-free dog area for your four-legged friends to enjoy the beach at full pace! There is even a section for horse riding at certain times of the morning.
