George Pentland Botanic Gardens

Visitors to George Pentland Botanic Gardens will experience some of Australia's most beautiful native flora.

The gardens are popular for educational activities, family gatherings and weddings....or simply just a picnic blanket and a good book! 

Originally a nine-hole golf course, this repurposed site became the George Pentland Botanic Gardens in 1975 and has been one of Frankston's quiet treasures ever since.

The gardens stretch 600 metres and feature an extensive collection of Australian native plants, with a particular focus on species from southeastern Australia and the Mornington Peninsula, alongside zones of rainforest, an ornamental lake, BBQ and picnic areas, a fabulous tree-shaped children's playground and pram-friendly walking paths.
