Seaford Wetlands
One of Frankston City's most extraordinary natural assets, the Seaford Wetlands is the largest remaining natural wetland of its type across Port Phillip and Western Port, and it's listed on the Register of the Natural Estate to prove it.
Around 190 bird species have been recorded here, with up to 7,000 birds present at any one time, including rare migratory species travelling from as far as Siberia.
A well-maintained walking and cycling trail traces the perimeter, with a viewing platform near Austin Road and picnic tables throughout. Arrive at dawn or dusk for an incredible birdwatching experience.
