Got a Wall? Let's Make It a Work of Art
We’re looking for building owners interested in transforming their walls into vibrant works of public art.
Do you own a building with a prominent wall that could become the next canvas for an incredible piece of street art?
We’re inviting building and property owners to express their interest in making a suitable external wall available for consideration for future street art opportunities across Frankston City.
While walls within the Frankston CBD may be considered for activation as part of the Street Art Festival, we also welcome submissions from property owners outside the CBD. These walls may be considered for other future street art projects and initiatives as opportunities arise.
We’re looking for walls that are highly visible, accessible and suitable for large-scale artwork, providing an opportunity to transform everyday urban spaces into vibrant and memorable destinations.
By putting forward your wall, you could help bring new colour and creativity to your neighbourhood, contribute to Frankston City’s growing street art landscape, and create a striking artwork that adds character to your building and its surrounds.
What kind of walls are we looking for?
Ideally, nominated walls should:
- be in a prominent or highly visible location
- provide a suitable surface and scale for a mural
- be safely accessible for artists and installation equipment
- be relatively free from major obstructions such as signage, windows or services
- have the property owner’s approval for an artwork to be installed
- be available for the time required to prepare and complete the artwork.
Not in the Frankston CBD? We still want to hear from you
Street art opportunities aren’t limited to the CBD. Building owners from across Frankston City are encouraged to submit suitable walls for consideration. While submitting a wall does not guarantee that it will be selected for an artwork, your property can be considered when suitable projects, artists and funding opportunities arise.
Not sure if your wall is suitable? That’s okay. Submit your details along with some photographs of the wall and our team can assess its potential.
