Made in Frankston — For All of Australia
Inside Cash’s Awards and Promotion Solutions
Tucked away in Frankston’s industrial heartland, Cash’s Awards and Promotion Solutions is more than just a manufacturer. It is a living Australian legacy.
A story of precision, pride, and craftsmanship that stretches back to 1939, Cash’s remains the last of its kind in Australia: a manufacturer that creates everything in-house, from start to finish.
Think police badges, ANZAC medals, service awards, our most iconic sporting trophies (did someone say Brownlow Medal and AFL Premiership Cup?!). No matter where you are in Australia, when you see these symbols Cash’s Awards in Frankston is the creator.
What began as a small operation has grown into a powerhouse in the recognition industry. And, Cash’s has securely positioned itself as part of the Australian story.
Crafting Legacy through Tradition
Today, Cash’s Awards’ team of 50 skilled craftspeople design and manufacture a vast range of custom-made items for thousands of clients from local schools and sports clubs to national institutions and emergency services including the Australian Defence Force, RSL, Australian Federal Police, and Pride of Australia.
It’s not just the volume that makes Cash’s remarkable. It’s how they do it.
When we say they are traditional, we mean it. Their heritage machinery, some of which dates back decades such as John Heine presses and Mario Di Maio hydraulic presses, stamping presses, die cutters, engraving lathes, detailed, high-quality, custom-made items that automated, overseas factories simply can’t replicate.
The Makers Behind the Game’s Biggest Moments
We hinted to it early, but just in case you missed it. Perhaps the most iconic items on Cash’s production list are the AFL Awards and Medals they have created in partnership with the AFL since 1947.
The leagues most iconic symbols of achievement were all borne out of Frankston. Think, The Brownlow Medal, the Norm Smith Medal, the Coleman Medal, the Jock McHale Medal, the AFL Premiership Medallions. And perhaps the most iconic, the AFL Premiership Cup and since 2017, the AFLW Premiership Cup.
Each cup takes 80 to 100 hours to complete and is crafted from brass and is silver plated and also 24ct gold plated, adorned with gold-plated laurel leaves. With the 2025 AFL Cup already in progress, it will be proudly collected this coming September.
Beyond elite sport and government service, Cash’s creates custom service and milestone awards to reward dedicated and loyal staff working for businesses across the country; whether it’s a 10-year work anniversary, retirement gift, or achievement badge.
A True Australian Story
Beyond the elite awards and government service badges above, Cash’s is the go-to for businesses across Australia who recognise their staff for work.
At the heart of Cash’s Awards is a belief that recognition matters. And it shows in every carefully cut medal, every hand-polished pin, and every custom design that leaves the workshop floor.
Who knew, hidden in our City’s industrial precinct was an Australian legend!
So next time you see an ANZAC Day pin, a service medal, or an official AFP insignia, take a moment. It was made in Frankston. By hand. By someone who takes pride in every detail. That’s petty cool.
