Description

Public Sculpture by Bruce Armstrong from Melbourne

Sentinel is a five metre tall abstract wooden sculpture of a native sea eagle.

Materials: Wood

The Sentinel sculpture sits at the base of Olivers Hill, at the parkland on the corner of The Esplanade and Nolan Street. It keeps a lookout over Frankston’s award-winning beach and Port Phillip Bay.

Sentinel recently went under remedial/restoration works which started on 13 February 2025.  Now that the restoration has been completed, it is being coated in fibreglass to preserve it.
