Description

‘From Sicily to Seaford’ is the unique story of Piero Marchetta, who has brought all of his knowledge as a third generation pastry and gelato chef from his homeland in Italy, to be shared half way around the world at Gelato UNOU.

Crafting daily the amazing flavours of Italy on-site, customers can enjoy fresh authentic gelato, sorbets, cakes, Dutch pancakes, shakes, spiders and 'specials'. There are over 30 different flavours, which can change daily depending on the wishes of its master chef!

Gelato UNOU has quickly established itself as a local’s favourite, with visitor patronage from far and wide during the summer and holiday period. Flavours vary from everyone's favourite vanilla and chocolate, to more exotic traditional flavours of Pistachio, Zabaione and Sour cherry, to the Sicilian flavours of Zupa inglese and Fragolina yoghurt.

Using Victorian dairy products, fresh local fruit and artisan Italian flavour pastes, Gelato Unou has progressively evolved during its first year to now also offer Vegan, Fodmap and Gluten free options, as well as a wide selection of Cakes. Perhaps you would like to sample the Black chocolate Lamington made with Activated Charcoal and Raw Cocoa Beans?

The store name is also a playful creation, consisting of the Italian word for number one ("uno"), representing its commitment to quality, and the letter 'u', representing its commitment to customers. Together they are pronounced 'you know' ... or UNOU.
