Description

Port Phillip Bay is a boating and fishing paradise. Depending on the season, keen fishermen can angle Garfish, Flathead, Snapper Australian Salmon and Silver Trevally.

Bring your rod and get comfy on the pier, or bring your own or hire a boat to launch from one of the eight lanes available at Olivers Hill or Kananook Creek boat ramps and spend a day on the water.

Fisheries now offer an online service to purchase your fishing licences. Click here to purchase before you arrive. If you are having difficulties please come into the Frankston Visitor Information Centre and we can help you.

Permits not required for boat ramp parking, please click for more information.

Motorised water activities
The use of motorised watercraft in Port Phillip Bay is governed by Maritime Safety Victoria. To view an interactive map and understand the rules governing Frankston’s coastline, please go to https://transportsafety.vic.gov.au/maritime-safety/ports-and-waterways/waterway-rules/waterway-maps
