Frankston’s Christmas Festival is one of Melbourne's longest running Christmas events, and the market is the perfect place to start your Christmas gift-shopping.

Teaming up with Metro Trains for a third year to present End of The Line, ALWAYS LIVE is coming to Frankston on the night of Frankston's Christmas Festival.
In partnership with Frankston City Council, ALWAYS LIVE will be taking over Playne Street for an afternoon of guitar-driven goodness thanks to Melbourne heroes Cash Savage & The Last Drinks supported by rising rockstars Full Moon Flower Band, Kiwat Kennell and Erica Avenue.
This free, family-friendly community event is supported by PBS 106.7FM and bites from local vendors, to create the perfect day out for friends, family and anyone who loves live music.
The perfect warm-up for your festive evening celebrations - End of the Line Frankston is part of ALWAYS LIVE, a 17-day state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.

Frankston Christmas Festival Official Christmas Parade
See Santa in our Official Christmas Parade
Official Christmas Parade, proudly presented by Barry Plant Frankston

This year we are relaunching the official Christmas Street Parade with a burst of colour, and flair as our brightest and most excited community groups, dance troupes, roving performers, emergency services and sporting talents put on a moving show through the festival site.
This year this heartwarming procession will feature over 250 participants including Barry Plant Frankston, Frankston City Mayor, Cr Kris Bolam, SES Frankston, Mornington Peninsula Triathlon Club, Victoria Police, Rotary Peninsula 2.0, South Sea Roller Derby League, Stilt Divas, Leawarra Calisthenics Club, Baden Powell Park Scouts, Frankston Toy Library, BAM Arts Inc, Dynamite Dance Centre, Roving Candy Canes, Hoop Army, Frankston District Netball Association, Elf on the Shelf and Gingerbread Man, Peninsula Autism Friendship Group, Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre, Elves, Frankston Fire Brigade, Mrs Claus and last, but certainly not least SANTA!
All the colour and movement will be led by the Itchy Feet Pep Band, bringing all the upbeat Christmas tunes. If you love a Christmas parade, especially one with Santa you won't want to miss out on this.
Starting at the corner of High and Young Street at 6pm and the parade will travel towards Davey Street marking the start of the City's Christmas festivities.

New in 2024 - European Christmas Village
Make sure the European Christmas Village in the Young Street carpark is one of your first stops on the night.
Featuring scenes straight out of a holiday storybook, think European-inspired, handcrafted, and unique items as well as tasty treats warming your heart and taste buds, dressed with string lights and festive sounds.
Choose from a range of gourmet delicacy's from around the globe including Arancini, Proffertjes, coffee, Bruschetta and Churros to name a few. Find the full list of over 10 tasteful delights here.
This bustling village will also be home to makers, bakers, artisans and creators showcasing handcrafted scents, chocolates, baked goods, glassware and crystals.
Featured retail stores include; Semla The Bakery (Swedish), Butterken Bakery (German), The Sewing Bee Cafe, Edelglas, Yia Yias Glyka (Greek), Chocolate Well and Doublescent (candles).
Be entertained by The Christmas Gypsies from 5.30-8.30pm, as Ernie Gruner (Violin, mandolin, vocals) and Phil Carroll (accordion, vocals, ney ) play Gypsy, Klezmer, Turkish, French, Italian, Russian, jazz and tango music which range from soulful to wild creating a memorable European Christmas vibe for the festival.
Enjoy the blend of culture and offerings, all at the European Christmas Village.
Kids' Rides Zone, proudly presented by Gumbuya World Theme Park
In the back carpark, the Kids’ Rides Zone is proudly presented by Gumbuya World Theme Park, and has been carefully curated for our smallest festival friends. These rides will have our little thrill seekers diving, ducking, sliding, and swinging to their hearts content.
Dragon Coaster - Children 90cm - 110cm tall must be accompanied by an adult. Children taller than 110cm can ride unaccompanied
Chair-o-plane - Children under 100cm must wear a seatbelt
Teacups - Children under 90cm must ride with an adult
Jurassic Fun Factory - Children under 3 years must be accompanied by an adult
Skyflyer - Minimum height 122cm to ride
