Frankston's Christmas Festival of Lights
That's a wrap on Frankston's Christmas Festival 2024
35,000 Festival Faithfuls, first-timers and out-of-towners embraced the unpredictable Melbourne weather to make sure they didn't miss Frankston's iconic Christmas Festival on Saturday 30 November.
Despite a wet morning, the rain cleared, the sun came out and the crowds moved in to get amongst the action.
Melbourne's longest running Christmas event has wowed again!
It was wonderful to see so many people summoning their secret love of all things daggy for the Ugly Sweater Portraits, and kids big and small getting involved with story-time, face-painting, animal encounters, basketball and rowing challenges, photo opportunities, live theatre shows and glowing train rides!
Local's Lane was a seemingly never-ending story of local businesses and experiences, the European Christmas Village was the place for the most delicious food and handcrafted Christmas decorations, and Little Beauty Market did not disappoint as THE destination to start your Christmas shopping with unique gifts and the most sparkly glitter glam!
This year the Festival ran alongside the Always Live, End of the Line in Playne Street which saw Cash Savage & The Last Drinks play for the first time in Frankston, and brought an all-new cohort of people from across Melbourne to Frankston and the Festival.
There was singing and dancing in the rain, puddles, sunshine, and finally under the fireworks as the tree lights were turned on for the season.
Thank you to everyone who came down to celebrate with us. Check out the video below to see all the fun we had!
