STEVE LEADBEATER

Artist Bio:

Artist Steve Leadbeater has exhibited his work since the early ‘90s, but he has been creating for over 50 years.
He creates with wild brutality, like an intuitive child or a mysterious prehistoric culture. His work explores energy, contrasts, and inner beauty. In the studio, he gets lost in a ritual of the senses; seeing flashes of shapes and colours, as if music is passing through him, while the aromas of paint and incense hang in the air. Sipping tea and feeling materials collide as marks are made, always trying to capture and share that spirit.
Although he has a reputation for polarising audiences with dangerous work, Leadbeater is not out to shock. He’s out to connect.
