Artist Bio: 

Chuck Mayfield is an esteemed practicing artist with an expansive catalogue and international recognition. Chuck predominantly specialises in aerosol and large scale murals, cementing his place amongst the street art scene while continuing the development of his personal practice in fi ne art and gallery exhibitions. Coming from a family of artists, Chuck Mayfield has been practicing in creative fi elds from an early age. He has been painting and drawing his whole life, and started painting graffiti art and murals at age 16. Influenced by graffiti, classical fi ne art, and fascination with the natural world; Chuck Mayfield’s art is a vibrant, dark, and dreamy dive into self reflection and discovery. A bachelor of Visual
Communication Design and a diversity of lived experience and interest fuels Chuck’s ever-expanding art practice; taking inspiration from animals, plants, natural environments, as well as the dynamics of city life. Woven through are representations of his allure of the mystical, philosophical, and spiritual. Chuck’s iconic style displays a reverence and obsession with the power of colour, studying the illusion of light and capturing its’ brilliance and dimension in dynamic painted form. His work expresses abstract narratives that underpin his sense of reality – aiming to bridge metaphysical concepts with day to day life.
